 | | JDub offers CDs, shirts, tote bags, posters and more. | | | JDub is a not-for-profit record and event production company for innovative Jewish music, community, and cross-cultural dialogue. JDub has emerged as one of the hottest Jewish Social Entrepreneurial ventures in the community. This Hanukkah, JDub is once again promoting "Jewltide" events in cities around thecountry. "If you don't have a tree, you don't have an excuse!", Dub says. "Hanukkah commemorates a time in our history when people were living through great strife, yet they overcame adversity and celebrated accordingly. Sounds familiar, right? JDub firmly believes that brighter days are ahead and with one hand holding tradition and one grasping at hope, we prepare to party away for the Festival of Lights."
You can check out JDub's web site for details on the events in LA, New York, Cleveland, San Francisco, Washington DC, Boston, and Philadelphia. The JDub Store also offers CDs, shirts, bags and posters from their roster of artists, which make for fantastic, and creative, Hanukkah presents.
As you consider your Hanukkah gifts this year, remember the important work that nonprofit organizations do both within the Jewish community and beyond. Changing the Present is an organization that facilitates giving donations to nonprofit organizations as gifts instead of material items. What could be more meaningful than donating to a cause about which your friends and family feel passionate? For many more ideas, check out Rabbi Phyllis Sommer's suggestions on her blog.
Happy Hanukkah!
